Playing with the Zone System. My friend recently turned me on to trying things out with the zone system and exploring photography from a different perspective from before. Now it's no longer about getting a proper exposure but playing with different exposures: high-key, low-key, and all that sits within. Here I know that the EV of the metro at ASA 400 is around a 9 and, shooting at ASA 1600 (2 stops brighter) I only compensated one stop and let it go at that.
